[DYNAMIC PANEL: CURRENT HNES STATUS] The Heat Network Efficiency Scheme provides grant funding for eligible existing district and communal heat networks in England and Wales that are operating below their potential. Revenue grants fund optimisation studies, where an independent study assesses the network, identifies the causes of poor performance and recommends costed improvement measures. Capital grants part fund the delivery of eligible improvement measures. Public, private and third sector organisations responsible for operating or managing eligible networks can apply. Eligibility is set out in the current scheme guidance and should be checked against it. Build the evidence once An application needs a clear description of the network problem, supporting evidence and the proposed improvement measures in line with the current scheme requirements. That is evidence you should be gathering anyway.
